It's been crazy busy in my world, so it's been over a month since I received the 4-Panel Customizable DM Screen and thus far I'm very happy with it.ARRIVED: Nicely packaged in an attractive printed cardboard box/sleeve that seemed to keep it safe, no damage, no problems.USABILITY: The vinyl folio has 4 panels, each with transparent sleeves intended to receive 8.5"x11" slide in sheets with either images (facing out) or data (facing in). One can either use the pre-printed images and forms included with this product (if they work for the game you're running) or you can print / make your own 8.5"x11" inserts. I suspect either card stock or paper will work. The ones that come with the product are printed on paper. I'm running D&D5e, and the forms weren't made for that, so I'll be making my own inserts.FACINGS: Based on the way the 4 panel folio wants to naturally curve, the way the product arrived, it seemed that the images were on the inward facing side (concave) of the folio leaving the outward facing (convex) side to receive the data sheets. That's backwards from how I use my screens, so I just slid the images out and slid them into the sleeves on the opposite side. NOTE - the images assume 2 end images and 2 middle images, so if you want to use the ones you see in the product pictures, there is a "right" way to arrange them (probably 4 right ways = 2 valid end position options x 2 valid center panel options).SPREAD - compared to my normal DM screens which are made of panels wider than they are tall, this taller than wide arrangement is nice for games where people are sitting in close and you want to get a bit of privacy from people sitting close off your elbows. I like the extra height. If you need to cover a lot of left-to-right distance, you may need to augment this screen as it's not the widest I have.SLEEVE EASE - I was a bit concerned about how easy it would be to get papers in and out of the sleeves on either side of the screen, but I've had no trouble at all so far. Sheets slide in and out easily.COLOR - Since the brand color for D&D5e is red, I went for the red vinyl version and I like the color very much - very vibrant and bright.SIZE/PORTABILITY - fits easily in my DM bag, though not inside my clam shell style clip board. Thicker and beefier than a standard D&D DM screen, these do take up a bit more room, but I don't find it to be a problem.Overall I'm very satisfied with this product and can't wait to come up with my own custom data and reference sheets and eventually my own custom art. The flexibility of being able to design both sides of this screen is hard to beat. I highly recommend this product to DMs/GMs who like the idea of taking control of their screen design. A great product.

Perfect for my sessions! Love that it is waterproof and erasable. Used it for one of my sessions two days after it arrived and my players loved it (didn’t love my artistic abilities) and it was really helpful when navigating a hideout. Definitely recommend it to any DM

Edit: Customer service from Melee Mats is fantastic and after I reached out to them for tips for removing the wrinkles, I was sent a replacement at no cost. It just arrived, so I have not had a chance to use it and verify that it will not develop the same issues, but I wanted to update my review in light of the customer service provided.I will revisit this review in a couple months of play to see if it earns the five stars or if this one wrinkles as well.Original Review:I purchased this mat just before we went into quarantine and the first time I used it, it seemed great. I stored it according to the instructions included, and when I took it out to use it a couple months later, it had developed a couple of wrinkles in the lamination. I was able to smooth them out to just ridges, but when I unrolled it to use at the next game the wrinkles had multiplied. I have used it for less than six games and it now has so many wrinkles that it is hard to erase and barely usable.I would not recommend this product unless you intend to lay it flat once and never move it again. Even then, I cannot vouch for it because I have not been able to test it in that manner.

This case is a bit cheaper than Magna Sliders from Battlefoam. The other advantages that it has over Magna Racks is that you can configure the shelf height on the fly, and your models are kept fully encased (dust protection!). This is the kind of magnetic storage solution I have been waiting for.The covered cake trays I have been using are objectively cheaper than this solution, but they take up much more space and do not fit all models (they have a set height). They also do not fit an entire 40k army in one tray, nor are they stackable. The plastic this is made from looks nice and sturdy. It's not too light weight though, so the build case has a bit of heft to it. Not nearly as much as one build entirely of wood, though, I'd imagine. The trays themselves are thin and feel very light weight, but I consider that an advantage. Magnetically, they do the job better than covered cake baking trays. I am not worried about my models sliding around or getting loose. The connections for the screws in top and bottom look up to the job, but over-tightening will definitely cause them to be ripped out of the plastic. Use common sense and you'll be fine. You can tighten the screws, and you will feel when they are secure. That's where you stop. I don't worry for a second that the screws will rip out of the plastic in normal daily use, not even with much more weight in the case than I have in it.The door is held closed by friction. This seems like a bad idea, until you actually feel the closure, and then you realize it's just fine. This was the biggest thing holding me back from ordering (you know, in the hemming and hahing phase) but it turned out to be a total non-issue for me.What would have made this case better?1. I would have liked something to secure the door. Nothing a strap won't fix, but that would've been nice. However, Jucoci has a bag on the way, supposedly, that fits this case. That totally resolves this issue, I suspect, as it really only is a concern in transport (and really probably not even then...)2. I would've like to be able to put a carry strap on. Again: the promised bag will likely take care of this.3. It would've been a great idea if this was made to securely stack. These cases do stack, as the handle folds down in an indentation in the top, but there is no feature that would prevent the top box from sliding off. I think that's a bit of an oversight in the design. They should have made some bumps on the bottom, and matching divets on the top, to prevent the cases from sliding around when stacked on top of each other (or some similar solution). All in all, I highly recommend this case. The issues listed above are nitpicky at best. I think this is the best magnetic storage on the market right now, and also one of the cheapest (if still NOT cheap!)

Got this for my hub (our DM) for Fathers Day.

This screen is well designed, sturdy, visually appealing and an outright shock to our DM. He had been using the manuals to find normal information and it took him ages. This screen comes with 4 sheets that have so much info on them. It will save time buying and selling, casting spells, equipping characters, tracking damage. It's got it all there on the pages. You can attach little clips or pockets for initiative to the top of the screen. It's sturdy enought to not fall over like the paper ones.

Now we will spend more time listening to him say "you can sure try" instead of waiting for him to look up something. Definitely a winner.

On a side note, bought the dice tower as well... Solid buy!! Love i

The plastic is that kinda cheap stuff you make children's toys out of... we've got a Little Tikes picnic table that's pretty much the same, kinda poofy, soft, and relies on folds to give it any structure. That said, it's also nicely rugged, and the pieces are rigid enough that they feel sturdy. One of my side panels was a little warped but it could be forced into place and screwed down. For what it is, it might be a bit expensive. It's twice as much as similarly sized wooden options, but then you're carrying wood around.Ultimately it's just a carrier for five metal serving trays. This is probably the main problem... these trays are cost effective for them because they're produced en masse, but they also massive space wasters. The outside rim and interior bevel sucks up at least another row of models, while the dips also screw up model clearance. Buuut... if you need more trays you can also just go buy some.Personally, I'll probably make some sheet steel covered MDF trays instead to maximize the storage space, but that's more cost to an already expensive solution. It's definitely cheaper and more flexible than magna racks, though.

I got this for my partner (our groups DM) for Christmas as he needed an upgrade from the Essentials kit DM screen. It’s very sturdy and made of quality materials. The sheets they included for free are nice, but the customization is where this thing shines. Now my partner can put custom tables he makes in the slots for any given session, and you can even customize the outer panels for the party to see! We have a world map and hopefully will soon have a party picture to display on the outside, which is just a super fun little addition for the players at the table. Be warned, the panels are larger than standard paper size, the height is the same but it’s a couple inches wider, which honestly in our case just helps fit even more prep material!

Greetings my fellow adventurers,I left the tavern shortly after our cheery group of adventurers finished up the initial quest and unlocked several tantalizing side plots (Seriously guys that goblin attack wasnt a random encounter it actually leads to a dungeon craw with countless, well ok 12 , but countless caverns filled with horrible green evil goblin groupies to kill! take the Damn lead! seriously, but I digress. ) and jogged on over to the interwebal mercantile under the giant lowercase a sign and evil orange grin, looking for a DM screen. i found this one quickly and after some deliberation, admittedly placing it my wishlist and then stopping by the local game shop to see if I could give them my slightly difficultly earned 1s and 0s in exchange for a screen for which I could make my own charts and edit monsters and generally hide notes from my eager adventuring friends. ALAS, no dice, well they had plenty of dice but no customizable screens like this one. So back to the story, I told you I digress. It arrived via the typical mysterious brown box on my door step in a very short time, I immediately opened it to find this treasure! its a high quality device of (red in my case) plastic. yep just what I ordered. The quality was what i expected. its essentially a quad folded binder cover type device. the outward facing tome looking graphics were of high quality and the whole unit seemed quite durable. the DM or GM inserts were also on high quality paper and the printing was crisp and clear.Sliding the pages into the sleeves is best done slowly as clear plastic isnt loose but seriously go slow and the pages wont wrinkle. It stands up nicely on the table and in the next game session i will snap a few soul captures of it and post them. I am pleased with the purchase and cant wait to use it to add more mystery to the next adventure. If you are looking for a DM screen you want to be able to customize buy with confidence.Happy Adventuring Friends

Assembly was easy and straightforward. Quality feels good and is sturdy once all the pieces are together. The trays on mine came a little warped? Not sure what happened but they just have a little wiggle in the slots. They don't appear to be at risk of falling out.Door seems to close fairly securely as well. This is more than 2k points of Imperial Knights and it seems tall enough to stack two big knights on top of each other.Currently I have 6 Armigers and 3 Questoris/Dominus class in the case currently and I am confident it would fit much more.Bottom Line: I would 100 percent recommend this case. The value proposition is off the charts for this one.

I'm coming from Tabletop Stronghold, who makes a very good case with some deficiencies that annoyed me a bit (MDF material scratches table surfaces, not a great door solution, handle sticking out on top, sharp corners, etc.) This case addresses literally all the little issues I had with my previous one. This case is in the same style, that is, a slide-out magnetic tray system, which IMO is ideal and the absolute best way to transport miniatures. You can easily leave as much or as little space as you need between the trays and don't have to decide beforehand like you would with something like MagnaRacks.Usable interior space is plentiful and basically identical to the TT Stronghold case I'm using as my basis of comparison. The trays hold virtually the same number of models and the cookie tray design helps prevent parts of your models from scraping against the interior walls. It has an actual hinged front door that opens to the side. The handle folds down so you can sit stuff on top of it.Now, the downside of this case is that it's a bit bulkier on the outside. Personally, this doesn't bother me because making it smaller would involve using much more expensive materials. It's plenty solid as-is and I'm quite happy not paying multiple hundreds of bucks for a miniature transport solution.

Perfect for DnD with a design that can be used and fitted into really any fantasy TTRPG. I was really impressed with the embossed almost metallic mural look. The screen feels high quality and it comes with a travel case to keep the detail intact if you need to quickly shove it into a backpack. The smell was very strong when it was first unpacked but the smell dissipated after a day or so, no worries there! Overall the build quality is high, detail is immaculate and it's large enough to fit most table set ups. Cannot recommend more
